US Consumer Attorneys

US Consumer Attorneys (USCA) is a timeshare exit company located in El Cajon, California. The company has multiple affiliate offices in Mexico and the US. As we analyze the website, our team came across an interesting statement:

“US Consumer Attorneys is a group of affiliated attorneys dedicated to protecting consumers from the unfair practices of timeshare companies. Our experienced, knowledgeable attorneys and intake managers will work hard for you throughout our fast and secure process, and assist you in getting you out of your timeshare membership contract – forever.”

The company claims to use affiliated attorneys, but there is no specific detail about any attorney listed on their website. As we have mentioned multiple times, having attorneys working on your behalf to exit a legal contract is a must, you need to protect yourself from all angles. Many timeshare exit companies will tell you there is no point in having an attorney, but our team disagrees. If you’re paying thousands up-front, wouldn’t you want to be protected legally through the whole process?

As we break down the US Consumer Attorneys reviews, you will get insight into how the company operates, and if US Consumer Attorneys is the right exit company for you. There are few exit options every timeshare owner has to exit their timeshare. Contact our team through Live Chat or fill out the form on the right to identify your legal exit options.

US Consumer Attorneys Reviews

US Consumer Attorneys reviews are mixed, and we’ll discuss why in this review. The company sends out a ‘Welcome Package’ to timeshare owners, which includes the attorney name and breakdown of the process moving forward. In other words, you have to sign up for their services, and they send you information for the attorney assigned to your case. This is a common practice in the timeshare exit industry. Some companies do pose as a law firm but have no law practice experience, so be aware. Protect yourself from these scams and read more about common timeshare scams.

Another interesting thing we came across is the company stating they deal with consumer law. Under the ‘Our Lawsuits’ page, the company portrays few lawsuits they are currently involved in and few that have been solved. After researching other US Consumer Attorneys’ reviews, this information is accurate. US Consumer Attorneys have dealt with different timeshare developers, and this is always a good sign. The company does not do a lot of marketing from the information we gathered, and the website is not very sleek but very straightforward. This is not a bad thing; neither is it a good thing. Various US Consumer Attorneys reviews have stated the company has over-promised and under-delivered.

Testimonials are great because they give you an insight into the company and provide client feedback. The company has tons of positive reviews on their testimonial page. There are chances the company incentivizes some of them, so be aware. Another interesting thing we came across is a ‘Satisfaction Guarantee’ that is promised by the company. The company is saying if they do not transfer your timeshare over within a year, they will return the money back. Getting your money back sounds good, but what if the company goes bankrupt? You’re out of luck.

There are very few companies that can back up their 100% money-back guarantee, and these companies typically have valuable financial assets. As for the processing time, it takes less than 12 months if your timeshare is paid in full. If your timeshare is not paid in full, it can take up to 24 months. The company does offer a free consultation, or you can get in touch with our team. We can help find you the right timeshare exit company based on your situation. Below is a statement directly from US Consumer Attorneys explaining how they get you out of your timeshare contract.

US Consumer Attorneys Cost & Fees

US Consumer Attorneys fees for their services range after reading through various reviews. It has come to our attention that some clients have paid $3,000-$10,000. Cost is also based on many factors, such as if you have a mortgage or if your timeshare is paid off, this is very common in the timeshare exit industry. Always haggle the price with any timeshare exit company. You can save a ton of money. We always recommend companies that have an escrow option, so you do not have to pay any up-front fees, and are protected from scams.

Since US Consumer Attorneys fees depend on your timeshare situation, we recommend you get everything in writing, so the company is held liable if they do not complete their services.

US Consumer Attorneys Ratings

US Consumer Attorneys BBB states the company has a B+ rating on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) with a 4.5 rating. There were 80 positive reviews, and 30 complaints closed in the last three years, and 11 complaints closed in the previous 12 months. That is not a good ratio. The company did attempt to close down their complaints; it portrays the company cares about its reputation and clients. Many clients on the BBB website have stated they have “kept their promise” and got them out of their timeshare contract. On their Yelp page, US Consumer Attorneys have 1.5/5.0 stars with only two reviews. Our team does not like it when a company has negative reviews on different review platforms, so that’s a -1 from our team. The company does not have any Trustpilot ratings.

As a people-first review company, US Consumer Attorneys receives a 3.5/5.0 MyTER Rating from our team. This company has many positive reviews but also has over 30 complaints. The company does offer a money-back guarantee if your timeshare is not transferred within 12 months, but at the same time, does not provide an escrow option. We edify escrow because it protects you, the customer the most. Read through our escrow page and see why escrow may be essential for you and have us find you the best exit company for your timeshare situation.

Here is a review from the BBB about a customer complaining about the lack of communication:

Final Thoughts

After reviewing the US Consumer Attorneys BBB complaints, many owners are stating US Consumer Attorneys did not communicate during the cancellation process. As we always say, communication is critical when you are looking to cancel your timeshare contract. Wouldn’t you want to know what’s going on with your case? Our team recommends being very cautious if you are considering working with US Consumer Attorneys.

There are numerous timeshare scams every year. Contact our team so we can help you determine if a timeshare exit company is legitimate, and we recommend working with timeshare exit companies that offer escrow, so you pay no up-front fees. Know your legal right so you can exit your timeshare contract legally. US Consumer Attorneys - much like the time share companies

February 1, 2024

My experience with US Consumer Attorney’s has been dismal. Very poor communication and it seems like all contact with them after they received our upfront payment was initiated by me. They have now stopped answering their phone altogether. Now, in addition, to have been succumbed to the scam of the Timeshare company I have been, it appears, scammed by US Consumer Attorneys.

No communications after taking $9,200.00 to resolve timeshare issues

January 16, 2022

In November 2018 we contracted US Consumer Attorneys, P.A. cancel our time share contract within 18 months, with possibility of extension. A total payment of $9200.00 was paid to terminate our timeshare account. The time for cancelation has expired and we think reasonable time of for extension, yet we have not heard from U.S. Consumer and cannot communicate with them by phone or the email address given by the phone message. We are not sure if our time share was cancelled and the contract suggest repayment of the $9200.00 if timeshare was not terminated.

On November 30, 2021, we asked Better Business Bureau to look into the matter. They have reached out to US Consumer Attorneys several times but they have not responded.

Scam Artists

January 11, 2022

After giving these scam lawyers $4500 in 2018, I have not been legally released from my timeshare. Up front, they took the money without explaining how they intended to release my timeshare obligation. There was no communication to phone calls. They have now closed the California office and will not speak to me or anyone on the phone. They only communication is through e-mail. Since this business has lost accreditation by the BBB, they are no longer taking new customers. After filing a complaint, they sent me a quit claim deed filed by the county of origin. After confirming with my timeshare, I was told they had no legal right to do this and the timeshare is in deliquency for the past three years. In 2018, USCA told me I didn’t have to make the mortgage payments while under litigation. However, there was no litigation.

NO communication, no call backs, nothing

September 2, 2021

I have paid my fee for service, but I cannot get in touch with anyone to give me an update on my case. I have been calling and leaving voicemails and emails nobody has contacted me as of yet. I have contacted the BBB, my next step is to contact USCA.

This is ridiculous when a client cannot get in touch with his lawyers especially after I paid my fee in full..

US Consumer Attorneys scamers

July 8, 2021

Sorry, they dont deserve not one star. Its been over four years since they took my $4500. The stated it will be closed in 8 months, nothing but lies after lies for the last four or more years. No correspondence, no updates, no nothing from them. I have to be the one that calls. Each time I am told its in litigation and close to settling, lies. When I spoke to the timeshare company after US Consumer Attorney informed me to call them, I was told, US Consumer Attorney has not been in contact with them at all. They put my case in default of the timeshare eight months after I entered with them. USCA did nothing but take my hard earned social security money and lied to me. Be aware, be aware, be aware! One thing the timeshare company told me, no attorney in the world can get anyone out of the contract.
